Clinical Supervision

You spend your days helping others, and you deserve support too. Whether you're fresh out of grad school or a seasoned clinician, I'm here to help you navigate clinical challenges with confidence, all while maintaining a sense of work/life balance.

a collaborative approach to supervision

My approach to supervision is grounded in mutual respect. I draw from solution-oriented and relational supervision frameworks, because I believe that no matter how new you are to the field, you have a lot to offer. From preparing for the LICSW exam, to opening a private practice, or anything in between, I will be there to offer encouragement, direct feedback, and practical support.

I have previous work experience in school, residential, partial hospital, community mental health, and outpatient settings, and have supervised clinicians with a variety of specialties. My goal as your supervisor is to help you grow into the therapist YOU want to be, even ( we have different therapeutic styles.

frequently asked questions

1 / How often will we meet?

Clinicians working toward licensure hours are typically required to have weekly supervision. Licensed clinicians can meet either weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on what you feel is most helpful.

2 / What are commonly covered topics?

In short, we can talk about whatever you need the most support around. This may include clinical case consultation, diagnosis review and rule-out, managing burnout, counter-transference, ethical dilemmas, therapeutic modalities, social justice issues, and professional development goals. I can also assist with test prep and provide study resources for the LCSW, LICSW, and PMH-C exams.

3 / Will this count toward my licensure hours?

If your employer does not provide supervision, I would be happy to discuss providing supervision that counts toward licensure.

4 / Can you supervise mental health counselors, or only social workers?

Yes! Many of the topics covered in clinical supervision are the same regardless of licensure type. If you are a masters level therapist working toward your LMHC, you are allowed to have a certain percentage of your supervision hours under an LICSW. It is your responsibility as the supervisee to confirm your hour requirements with the licensing board.

5 / Do you provide other services for professionals, like group supervision or consultation?

Yes! I offer group supervision to two or more clinicians for a discounted fee per person. I can also provide short-term case consultations,  support with starting a private practice, or workplace trainings. Please inquire for rates and more details.
